ClickToPlugin is a lightweight extension that that you can use to prevent plug-ins from loading automatically in Safari. The result is faster browsing, as the plug-in objects are replaced by a placeholder, which you can click to load the content.
The extension is highly customizable, as you can easily set exceptions, change the placeholder opacity, set the default media player and resolution and use keyboard shortcuts.
